HSBC GOSH Programme
HSBC Green Volunteers organised a brand new program for kids called GOSH! The acronym, GOSH stands for Great Outdoors School of Habitats. The HSBC Green Volunteers crafted this program specially for kids of the "Read with Me" program at the Students Care Service Clementi Centre. GOSH brought the kids to four different native Singaporean habitats--Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (mangrove habitat), Sime Forest and the HSBC Tree-Top Walk (tropical rainforest), Upper Seletar Reservoir Park and surrounding forest (tropical rainforest), and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (tropical rainforest). Cicada Tree Eco-Place was happy to lead walks to the latter two destinations, together with the HSBC Green Volunteers.

We want everyone to know that we don't feed monkeys!

Uncle Andrew telling us about kapok (cotton) under the kapok tree.
We had a bird's eye view of Upper Seletar Reservoir and the surrounding forest from up here.

We saw a Malayan Blue Coral Snake, a very beautiful snake which is highly venomous. This was along the Taban Loop.
Everyone was captivated by this baby Clouded Monitor Lizard. Clouded Monitor Lizards live in our forests.
After our forest walk, we made bookmarks out of dried fig leaves.
